Back 2 School

Wow it has been a long time since my last post (I want to thank the most wise blaire for noticing that)
So it is that time again, back to school for another lifelong semester of seminary (not college! I know some of you out there think I am still in college http://www.sebts.edu). This semester could prove to be a troubling one. There are tons of things going on all around me that I believe the Lord is using to teach me that I am fully dependent on Him (church, school, dad having heart problems again, best bud moving, life changing in general). But as I sit back and ponder who I am in light of who He is these things should fade away. The test is do I really believe that I can "be still and know that He is God" (ps. 46:10). See the promise in this verse is not about our fervant work, but in our obedience to a Soveriegn God who promises that He will be exalted among all the nations. I know it is hard for us all, but the faith factor is do we really believe that He is the same God that stood on the boat with the disciples and exclaimed "peace, be still" and it was as He said. So I pray that this post will be an encouragment to you all out there in bloggerland to draw closer to Him "you will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart" Jer. 29:13
